    We focus on Knowledge Discovery on the Internet and then try to find potential, valuable and novel knowledge patterns. At the same time, we pay more attention to people's psychological state reflected in social media. We use natural language processing technology to analyze people's emotion, sense of happiness, sense of humor, depression, suicide, and stress status. Our goal is to use natural language processing technology to serve the society, understand people's demands from the physical and psychological aspects, and better create a relaxed atmosphere with technology to benefit mankind.

    I found Information Retrieval Laboratory (DUTIR) in 2001, and I also began to recruit graduate students in the direction of information retrieval. My research areas include natural language processing, information retrieval, information recommendation, sentimental analysis, social computing, social media processing for mental health, biomedical text mining and electronic Health Recorders Analysis. I am willing to accept the master and Ph.D. candidate qualified for "good at mathematics, skilled in programming, and with good attitude".

    I have published more than 150 SCI-indexed papers, as well as more than 50 international conference papers (IJCAI, WWW, ACL, EMNLP, CIKM, COLING, BIBM etc. ). I have presided over more than 10 National Natural Science Foundation projects and National High Tech Projects. I have served as the Chair of the Programming Committee of many national conferences or as a Programming Committee Member of several international conferences.
    I have a good cooperative relationship with the medical community, judicial organizations, e-commerce companies, etc.
